Ramingstein in the Three Corners Region In the extreme south-east of SalzburgerLand lies Ramingstein, a small holiday spot right on the Mur Bike Path. Ramingstein also finds itself in the so-called Three Corners Region, where Salzburg, Styria and Carinthia all touch. Ramingstein is the only Lungau community below 1,000 meters in elevation, at 970 m to be precise. In summer you can take extended walks through the surrounding countryside, or try your hand at rafting or canoeing. One very special highlight is the Bike Path of Legends and Myths, which leads out alongside the clear waters of the River Mur.

In summer, Thomatal is an ideal base for hikes and tours in Lungau's alpine world. Gently rolling hills, but also rocky terrain, all inviting you to enjoy our flower-covered alpine meadows, high pastures and mountain huts, the clear air and glorious scenery.
A National Park Village... Nestled amidst a landscape of alpine meadows covered in flowers, surrounded by glorious mountains and sheltered by the mighty Hafner (elev. 3,076 m), the highest mountain of the Lungau, a holiday spent in the National Park Village of Muhr is very much like a National Geo adventure, taking you out along hiking paths, past mountain lakes and waterfalls, through rugged alpine countryside and fragrant meadows in full bloom. Muhr is the only Lungau community that is part of the Hohe Tauern National Park nature preserve.
Göriach – paradise comes in small packages A small, precious gem of a holiday spot, Göriach lies at an elevation of around 1200 meters above sea level, about 6 kilometers from the county seat of Tamsweg. In summer as well as winter, Göriach offers many different opportunities to be out and about amidst beautiful countryside and healthy air. Not surprising, then, that Göriach is the starting point for numerous hikes ranging from easy to challenging. Countless mountains surrounding Göriach are more than 2500 meters tall, the highest being the Hochgolling at 2,862 meters, a hiking paradise for experienced mountaineers. Not to be missed: an outing to the Göriach Hut Village, a truly one-of-a-kind alpine village, easily reached even if you are pushing a pram or are a senior citizen. This is also the site of an annual open-air mass along with a big hill-country festival and, during Lungau's Harvest Festival celebrations, of a traditional homecoming festival to welcome the flocks and shepherds back from summer grazing season in the mountains. And you should absolutely visit the Göriach Bee Path , which provides fascinating insights into the world of bees.
Unternberg – Come as a guest, leave as a friend The small town of Unternberg, with a population of around 1,000 people, lies at 1,028 meters above sea level, and is located in the midst of the Lungau region in beautiful SalzburgerLand. In summer as in winter, Unternberg is the ideal base from which to be active in the healthy, fresh air and a pristine natural setting. Whether hiking or trekking during a Lungau summertime, or perhaps Nordic walking or off on a cycling or mountain bike tour, such as along the Mur Bike Path – in the mountains of the Lungau, active, sports-loving guests definitely find what they have been looking for.
Weisspriach – enjoyment on the mountaintops and in the valley Located in the Lungau region in the south of Salzburg and south of the main divide of the Schladming Alps is the small community of Weisspriach, one of the most beautiful side valleys of the Lungau. Weisspriach lies at 1,099 meters above sea level, the name aptly means "arrived at the heights". Fragrant forests, lush green pastures and crystal-clear mountain lakes leave their stamp on the Weisspriach countryside. The valley is flanked by mountain chains, with peaks towering far beyond the 2,000-meter mark.
